Job summary

POLYWOOD® is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician in a hands-on, team‑oriented environment to keep equipment, facilities, and people safe. Emphasis on problem solving, preventive maintenance, and strong safety culture.

The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing electrical controls, PLC systems, and CNC machinery while supporting reliability improvements and cross‑functional collaboration. Competitive pay with shift premium and benefits accompany growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
Advanced troubleshooting of electrical controls systems including PLCs and related components.
Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control panels, wiring methods.
Experience with PLC platforms (Rockwell/Siemens) and motor control components.
Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair electrical controls, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime on 2nd shift.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, including I/O, sensors, VFDs, HMIs, safety circuits, and motor controls.
Perform electrical diagnostics on 120–480V circuits and power systems.
Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Complete preventive and predictive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
Support CNC machinery, heating elements, and pneumatic systems; interpret electrical schematics.
