Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical controls systems, including PLCs.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, control panels, wiring, and schematics.
• Proven ability to diagnose root causes of equipment and automation failures.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout, electrical safety standards, and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electrical controls, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime during 2nd shift operations.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, including I/O, sensors, VFDs, HMIs, safety circuits, and motor control components.
• Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs on industrial power systems (120–480 V).
• Analyze equipment failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Complete preventive and predictive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC machinery, heating elements, motors, controllers, and pneumatics.
• Read and apply electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation.
• Perform limited mechanical repairs (belts, pulleys, bearings, gears) as needed.
• Follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures; ensure safe operations.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify process and equipment improvements.
• Support sourcing and installation of cost-effective electrical and controls solutions.
• Provide off-shift technical support and work independently when required.
• Address mechanical issues with dust collection, CNCs, extruders, pneumatics, plumbing.
