Job summary

Carrier's Indianapolis, Indiana facility is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Maintenance Electrician to join the Manufacturing Engineering team. You will diagnose faults, repair equipment, and keep the production line running with a focus on reliability and safety.

The role requires experience with PLCs, control cabinets, and meters; unionized environment with premium for the 2nd shift. Training and career development are provided with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman card or equivalent apprenticeship or passing the Industrial Assessment Test (70%+) required.
• 3+ years’ experience as an industrial electrician.
• Willing to complete Carrier safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Electrical repair and calibration on manufacturing equipment.
• Use multimeters, oscilloscopes and hand tools to troubleshoot and wire circuits.
• Lay out wiring and maintain circuits for machine installations, conveyors, elevators, cranes, and busbars.
• Replace components including gas valves, relays, fuses, and EAC compressors.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep the work area safe and compliant with EHS standards.
