Job summary

Ocean State Veterinary Specialists (OSVS) in East Greenwich, RI, is seeking an Experienced ECC Veterinary Technician for the 2nd shift. Work with board-certified specialists and a skilled team in a fast-paced, advanced referral hospital.

You'll provide critical nursing care, monitor changes in patient status, assist with anesthesia, and maintain detailed medical records while collaborating with emergency doctors and technicians to deliver the highest level of patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency & Critical Care veterinary technician experience required.
• Veterinary Technician certification preferred.
• Ability to lift and handle pets weighing 40+ pounds and remain active throughout your shift.
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to critically ill and emergency patients using advanced technical skills.
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient status in a fast-paced ECC environment.
• Assist with emergency procedures, anesthesia, and recovery of complex cases.
• Deliver compassionate support and clear communication to clients.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
• Collaborate with specialists, emergency doctors, and fellow technicians to provide the highest level of patient care.
• Mentor and support team members while contributing to a positive hospital culture.
