Job summary

Blackrock Logistics, Inc. seeks a Dispatcher/Planner for the 2nd shift (1:00PM - 9:30PM) in Gold River, CA.

You will coordinate daily scheduling, routing, and dispatch of drivers and freight to ensure safe, timely, and cost-efficient deliveries, and serve as the main communication link between drivers, customers, and operations. Responsibilities include monitoring loads in transit, rerouting to address delays, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of dispatch/logistics experience in transportation.
• Working knowledge of California and federal DOT/FMCSA regulations, including hours-of-service.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS/telematics, and MS Office; strong communication.
• Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, route, and dispatch drivers to meet delivery deadlines.
• Monitor driver locations and loads using dispatch software.
• Serve as the primary link between drivers, customers, and operations.
• Respond to delays by rerouting loads and adjusting assignments.
• Ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and hours-of-service.
• Maintain dispatch records of activity, deliveries, and hours.
• Coordinate with maintenance for vehicle servicing.
• Track freight discrepancies and customer concerns.
