Job summary

NX Automotive Logistics - South Carolina is seeking a Warehouse Dispatcher to coordinate yard movements and support drivers. You will use SAP and YSP to manage inbound and outbound activities, prepare documents, and monitor order status.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and flexibility to work varying shifts, with opportunities to cross-train across dispatcher functions and improve KPI performance in a dynamic warehousing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous Dispatcher Coordinator experience preferred.
• Knowledge of warehousing and transportation functions.
• Strong communication with management, drivers, carriers and customers.
• SAP and Yard Management System (YSP) knowledge preferable.
• Reliable, flexible and able to work additional hours.
• Willing to cross-train and work multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, monitor and communicate yard trailer movements via SAP.
• Assign trailer movements to the yard management contractors via SAP.
• Assign outbound loads to loaders and update trailer status in SAP.
• Create PTAs via SAP and handle rush orders.
• Support truck drivers with necessary documentation.
• Review emails, manage paperwork and logs, perform research as needed.
• Monitor outgoing shipments and escalate issues affecting KPIs.
• Communicate with Leadership, Yard Drivers, Carriers, Dispatch team and customers.
• Maintain high performance to meet customer requirements and policies.
• Cross-train inInbound/Outbound dispatcher roles and flex as needed.
• Perform other duties within the operation as needed.

NX Automotive Logistics (NXAL) Operations Departments functions within a dynamic warehouse or manufacturing environment, where associates may encounter moderate levels of dust, dirt, and odors generated by packaging materials and propane-powered forklifts. Additionally, ambient noise from production equipment is a common aspect of the workplace. Temperature conditions fluctuate throughout the year. Associates are frequently required to operate computers, scanners, read, write, and engage in direct communication—both in person and through various digital and telecommunication platforms.

NX Automotive Logistics is looking for a warehouse dispatcher clerk to join our team!

Warehouse Dispatcher Roles and Responsibilities:

• Schedule, monitor and communicate yard trailer movements, including empty and loaded trailers to various locations from in/out of the warehouse via SAP.
• Assign trailer movements to the yard management contractors via SAP.
• Assign hourly scheduled outbound loads (Bordero’s) to the loaders, complete the trailers systematically in SAP, update order/trailer status and identify empty carrier trailers needed for future scheduled loads.
• Create PTAs (Premium Transportation Authorizations) via SAP system and prepare the necessary documentation and communication to fulfill these high priority “rush” order movements.
• Provide support to truck drivers by assisting them with necessary documentation to retrieve completed loads, validating carriers, pick-up numbers, BOLs (Bill of Ladings), driver signatures and log information.
• Review internal and external emails, manage paperwork, scan all necessary freight information and logs, and perform order and shipment research as required.
• Monitor the progress of outgoing shipments and provide support by escalating issues related to outbound order completion, trailer availability, and other issues that may arise.
• Ability to utilize the following: email, 2-way radio communication, and company cell phones to ensure effective communication with Leadership, Yard Drivers, Carriers, Dispatch team, third-parties representatives, and the customer.
• Maintain a high-level performance in all functional areas to meet customer requirements, expectations, and avoid any negative impact to Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• This position will require cross-training in multiple dispatcher roles (Inbound/Outbound) and flexibility to move between those roles as assigned or as the need arises.
• Perform other duties within the operation as needed.

Warehouse Dispatcher Qualifications:

• Previous Dispatcher Coordinator experience is preferred.
• Possess knowledge of warehousing and transportation functions.
• Must have timely and effective communication skills to communicate with management, associates, drivers/carriers, and customers.
• Knowledge of SAP and YSP “Yard Management System” is preferable.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and verbal/written communication skills.
• Reliable and dependable.
• Flexible to perform other job functions. Work additional hours, if necessary, to complete daily tasks and meet customer/business needs and demands.
• Ability to work flexible hours and or shifts to accommodate business needs.
