Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Plastic Dip Mold Set-Up Technician for 2nd shift to manage setup, operation, and monitoring of plastic dip-molding equipment, ensuring cycle verification and quality compliance.

Responsibilities include adjusting equipment, reading blueprints, performing caliper measurements, reporting defects, and maintaining on-the-floor documentation; teamwork and safety are emphasized to sustain production flow.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints, production schedules, and technical instructions.
• Competent in using calipers and gauges and basic math.
• Experience with ERP system entry and floor documentation.
• Ability to perform mechanical setups and adjustments; fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up plastic dip-molding equipment and monitor operation.
• Troubleshoot molds, racks, ovens, airflow and equipment performance.
• Conduct part measurements with calipers to ensure quality.
• Identify nonconforming product, report defects, and address malfunctions.
• Read and follow process specifications and document production and quality data.
• Provide on-the-job training and coverage for breaks; support smooth production flow.
• Promote safety, 5S, and continuous improvement in a clean, organized environment.
