Job summary

US Farathane in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Dimensional Lab Technician to support CMM operations, 3D scanners and hand measuring tools on the 2nd shift (2 PM–11 PM).

You will assist in ensuring dimensional conformance, performing GD&T analysis, and generating clear reports for internal audiences. Experience with PC-DMIS and/or Polyworks is preferred, with calibration of hand instruments as needed.

Occasional travel to other USF facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• GDT understanding and implementation.
• Hand measuring equipment operation and calibration where applicable.
• PC-DMIS software operation for CMM tasks, when applicable.
• Polyworks/VX Elements software operation for scanner tasks, when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMM, 3D scanner, or optical comparator to measure parts.
• Operate hand measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauge).
• Apply GD&T fundamentals to tasks and determine feasibility for tolerances and datum structures.
• Understand and communicate dimensional reports to intended audiences clearly.
• Understand customer requirements and ensure they are met in each task.
• Calibrate hand instruments when applicable.
