Job summary

US Farathane seeks a Dimensional Lab Technician for our Corporate Tech Center in Auburn Hills on 2nd shift (2:00 PM–11:00 PM). You will support dimensional conformance using CMMs, 3D scanners, and hand tools to ensure accuracy across parts and assemblies.

The role involves operating CMMs, scanners, and gauges, applying GD&T principles, and generating clear dimensional reports for customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GD&T fundamentals and tolerancing.
• Experience with PC-DMIS for CMMs and Polyworks VX Elements for scanning.
• Proficient in operating hand measuring equipment and calibration.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMM, 3D scanner, or optical comparator.
• Operate hand measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauge).
• Assess GD&T feasibility for proposed tolerances and datum structures.
• Generate dimensional reports clearly for intended audiences.
• Ensure customer requirements are met in each task performed.
• Perform hand instrument calibration when applicable.
