Job summary

RRD is seeking a 2nd Shift Digital Press Operator in Wisconsin to prepare jobs for printing, set up and release jobs from the print queue, and monitor output quality. You’ll use bindery equipment, package completed jobs, and coordinate with Customer Service and production to resolve any issues.

This role supports on-time delivery and accuracy across the job lifecycle. Work hours are 3:00 PM–1:00 AM, Monday–Thursday, with competitive pay and benefits including medical, dental, and vision

Qualifications

• Good understanding of digital file formats (pdf, tiff, eps) from Mac/PC required.
• Basic color management skills and ability to work with different digital formats; learn new graphics software.
• Mechanical skills using small hand tools for minor repairs, maintenance, and setup.

Responsibilities

• Review job instructions to prepare jobs for printing on a Digital Press.
• Set up, program, and release jobs from the print queue.
• Monitor the quality of job output for correctness and image quality.
• Utilize bindery equipment to complete jobs (cutter, tabletop folder, creaser, shrink tunnel).
• Package jobs and prepare for shipping.
• Review electronic files from clients for thoroughness before plate making.
• Identify missing or problematic components and communicate to Customer Service Reps and production.
• Work with Customer Service Reps, customers, and production to resolve problems.
• May prepare color proofs for customer review.
