Job summary

Amwaste is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our waste-collection trucks and equipment. You will work with drivers, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose problems, and complete repairs to keep operations running smoothly.

This is a 2nd shift position (10:00 am to 8:00 pm) with competitive pay, paid vacation from day one, rich benefits including 401K, and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Performs preventive maintenance, problem diagnostics and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Knowledge of welding and fabrication as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with drivers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots vehicle and equipment operations problems and makes repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment per schedules.
• Adjusts, repairs or replaces parts and equipment.
• Attends safety meetings and keeps tools and shop organized.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
