Amwaste LLC is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel engines and fleet equipment. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs for our waste collection trucks.

You will interact with drivers and contribute to safe, reliable operations on a second shift from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The position emphasizes hands-on welding and fabrication, tool upkeep, and adherence to safety standards.

JOB SUMMARY_

Performs preventive maintenance, problem diagnostics, and repairs on Company vehicles and equipment. The hours of operation for this job will be 2nd shift work. Hours will be 10:00 am until 8:00 pm.

MAJOR DUTIES

Troubleshoots vehicle and equipment operations problems, diagnoses and subsequently makes repairs

Performs preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment according to standard schedules.

Adjusts, repairs or replaces parts and equipment.

Attends safety meetings and classes.

Maintains tools and equipment.

Maintains a safe and tidy shop.

Welds and fabricates parts as needed.

Performs related duties as assigned.
