Job summary

DATTCO is hiring a full-time 2nd shift Diesel Technician/Mechanic at our Coach and Tour Fleet Maintenance location in Watertown, CT. The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and road calls for a fleet of motorcoaches and buses.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or trade schooling, 5 years of automotive/truck/bus repair experience, and hold a CDL with DOT medical card. ASE certifications are encouraged and benefits include paid training and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school or equivalent.
• 5 years training or experience in automotive/truck or bus repair.
• Drivers license and DOT medical card.
• Hold or be eligible to hold a CDL license.
• Hold or be willing to work toward ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles.
• Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage.
• Makes road calls.
• Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
