Job summary

Casella Waste Systems is seeking a Diesel Technician Apprentice for the 2nd shift at our Raymond, NH facility. You will work alongside an experienced Casella Diesel Technician to learn maintenance, perform repairs on vehicles and equipment, and focus on preventative maintenance and safety.

This apprenticeship runs until training requirements are completed, with a $2,500 hiring bonus and opportunities to advance through our Technician career paths.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.
• Basic knowledge in automotive or diesel repair.

Responsibilities

• Gains understanding of parts, processes and maintenance techniques under supervision.
• Learns to complete work orders and perform maintenance per inspections.
• Follows safety policies to ensure safe operations.
• Assists senior technicians with preventative maintenance inspections.
• Aids in larger projects and defect identification affecting availability and safety.
• Performs brake, hydraulic and basic vehicle system adjustments as learning progresses.
