What You Will Do

ATS technicians are trained to provide quality maintenance on our growing fleet of over-the-road trucks and trailers. You'll perform a variety of work including inspecting, diagnosing, replacing and repairing brake systems, ABS, electrical components, steering systems, multi-axle alignments, hydraulic systems, welding/fabrication of steel and aluminum and related equipment. You'll work independently while being part of a great team!

Responsibilities

1. Perform inspections on company tractors using ATS, DOT, and OSHA guidelines to ensure that the tractors are operating safely.
2. Complete DOT inspections on outgoing trucks to verify that all necessary repairs have been made.
3. Perform repairs following ATS procedures within standard job times.
4. Perform all necessary/scheduled preventative maintenance services.
5. Diagnose and repair electronic control engines.
6. Ensure safety procedures are implemented and followed.
7. Record all parts and repair work into the computer system.
8. Meet productivity standards.
9. Participate in online OEM training and hands-on training.
10. Furnish basic tools; ATS will provide specialty tools.
11. Follow all ATS and department policies and procedures.
12. Charge out all parts used on trucks and trailers.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

1. Two year AAS Degree in medium/heavy truck diesel program and/or at least one year of equivalent experience in related field.
2. Must be DOT certified or able to obtain certification within 90 days.
3. Must have brake certification or able to obtain within 90 days.
4. Must have OSHA tire training or able to obtain within a year.
5. Must have forklift certification or able to obtain within 90 days.
6. Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office required.
7. Effective communication skills.
8. Good decision-making, problem-solving, attention to detail and customer service skills.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $22.00 - $37.00 plus $4/hr. 2nd shift differential. This position may be eligible for a $2000.00 sign-on bonus, subject to eligibility requirements.
