Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt is seeking an experienced Diesel Service Technician to join our team in Greensboro, NC. This role performs all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair mechanic under minimal supervision.

You will conduct diagnostic repairs on heavy‑duty truck equipment, follow safety rules, document troubleshooting steps, manage parts and warranty handling, and maintain a clean, efficient work area while meeting service goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; trade school degree preferred.
• Experience in related field preferred but not required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain Class A CDL.
• MVR adheres to TLG MVR Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic/mechanical repairs on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components. Testing when completed to ensure repairs are completed properly.
• Follow safety rules and company policies always.
• Communicate to Service Foreman regarding parts that are not available for repairs.
• Download and save to Paccar Solutions/Decisiv: all pictures, engine files (before and after repair), and diagnostic test used to perform repair.
• Record in detail, the description of all troubleshooting steps and results of repairs made and any other information about the repair.
• Save all warrantable parts. Tag, wash, box and turn in to correct location. Labels the box with repair order number, S/N, customer name and date.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area. Clean and return tools used.
• Advise the following shift's technicians with any special instructions or concerns you found when repairing truck.
• Maintain efficiency and productivity goals set forth by Service Manager.
• Maintain Peterbilt online training percentage of 95%.
• Obtain class A or B CDL and retain during employment.
• Perform other duties and repairs as assigned.
