Job summary

Tyson Foods' Wilkesboro Service Center is seeking a 2nd shift Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks, trailers and equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and complete repairs to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Requirements include a valid state driver's license, ability to read labels and follow instructions, and the capacity to work safely in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid State Driver's License.
• Must be 18+ with a valid license and no DUI/DWI in the last 12 months.
• Ability to read labels, follow instructions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspensions.
• Perform preventative maintenance: oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, lubrication.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and document repairs accurately.
• Maintain safe, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
