Job summary

Gordon Food Service is hiring a Custodian at our Miami distribution center. The role involves keeping facilities clean, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, trash removal, and maintaining safe, organized spaces in extreme temperatures (-25F to 100F). Training is provided; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and empty trash.
• Maintain clean, organized buildings and facilities in the distribution center.
• Support warehouse team to ensure efficient operations in extreme temperatures.

Custodian

Distribution Center Address: 3301 NW 125th St, Miami FL

Pay: Starting at $20.52/hour (includes a $1.00 2nd shift premium)

Work Schedule

• Sunday - Thursday work week, with Friday and Saturdays off
• 2nd Shift - 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a custodian, you’ll support our team by maintaining the buildings to ensure clean, organized operations. You will also sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, empty the trash, clear snow, and maintain the landscaping. You can expect to work in extreme temperatures (-25F to 100F) in the distribution center. There’s no experience required - we’ll train you how to get the job done!

Does this look like you?

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers!
• We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F) is required while you’re here.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check.
