Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is hiring a Core Fabricator for the 2nd shift at our Nacogdoches, TX facility. The role involves fabricating cores, loading operations, and ensuring quality while following safety and SAP-based workflows.

Shift is 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Monday–Friday with potential overtime. Benefits start day one; opportunities for growth and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with core fabrication or metal forming processes.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks and Lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage work centers, including core former, deblock, georg, and tranco.
• Follow production schedules to ensure timely execution of core manufacturing processes.
• Set up and operate core wrapping machines, adhering to specifications for core items.
• Load rolls of core steel onto the dereeler and wrap cores on the mandrel to meet specs.
• Mark cores with identification numbers and secure a steel band around the circumference.
• Form and insert end and side plates using core forming machines during annealing.
• Follow VOP procedures for window dies and wedges to ensure consistent quality.
• Scan units into SAP and load trays onto AGVs for transport to the annealing furnace.
• Move trays between lines and furnaces following deblocker VOP.
• Stack plates into bookcase bins by ID number and inspect cores for quality.
• Complete paperwork accurately and confirm orders using a scanner.
• Enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols per OSHA guidelines.
• Operate overhead cranes and hoisting equipment safely.
• Participate in problem-solving to improve efficiency and quality.
• Aim to achieve target production rates and organizational goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols and 5S+ housekeeping.
