Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Two years supervisory experience preferred.
• Prior work experience in the corrugated industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management.
• Report quality concerns to Converting and Plant Superintendent; assist in determining guidelines.
• Establish morale within the department; maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain inventories of sheets, inks and other converting supplies.
• Coordinate with supervisor and Maintenance Superintendent on repairs or PM.
• Keep upper management informed of problems affecting department performance.
• Enforce corrective action procedures and conduct disciplinary meetings.
• Lead weekly Production/Safety meetings with staff.
• Communicate with supervision to avoid shift-change problems.
• Pursue seminars and courses to improve career skills.
• Implement and support all company policies including safety and housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
