Job summary

Magna International Inc. is looking for a Controls Engineer for the 2nd Shift at their Sterling Heights location. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and supervising the plant's electrical control systems. This role requires strong expertise in PLC programming, robotics, and HMI systems.

The Controls Engineer will manage installations, troubleshoot issues, and develop strategies to improve productivity while ensuring compliance with safety standards. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the automotive manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of PLC’s (Allen-Bradley and Siemens) is necessary.
• Experience in HMI programming required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plant electrical control systems, ensuring efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot PLC programs and work with teams to solve quality issues.
• Develop improvement suggestions to enhance plant performance.
