Job summary

Magna International Inc. is seeking a Controls Technician for the 1st shift in Sterling Heights, Michigan. This role is integral to developing and maintaining electrical and automated systems, ensuring that the plant operates smoothly and efficiently. You will perform troubleshooting and support installations of PLC-based systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, alongside a commitment to continuous improvement and safety standards. This position also requires active collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs (Allen-Bradley and Siemens) for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and correct problems in plant electrical control systems.
• Ensure calibration of machines and maintenance after calibration.

Skills

PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley and Siemens)

Mechanical systems knowledge

Electrical schematics interpretation

Robotics knowledge (ABB and Fanuc)

Education
