Job summary

Atkore in New Bedford, MA is seeking a Coiler (Machine Operator) for the 2nd shift (4:00 PM – Midnight). The role completes coiling, packing, and uses simple measurement tools, with an emphasis on safety and quality. Base pay is $23.19/hr plus a $0.50 shift differential, with a good‑faith current pay estimate around $23.51/hr.

You will report to the Manufacturing Shift Supervisor and work to keep production flowing, meet quality standards, and document procedures in required paperwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
• Ability to work in loud/noisy environments and extreme temperatures at times.
• Basic Math skills required.
• Must lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written English instructions.
• Strong attendance and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow production Standard Work and Job Function Analysis.
• Ensure production materials are available for shifts.
• Operate and observe machinery during production.
• Identify acceptable or defective product per quality standards.
• Collaborate with teammates, supervisors and managers to meet goals.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report hazards immediately.
• Within 3 months: complete required training and build stakeholder relationships.
