Job summary

Jobot is seeking a 2nd shift CNC Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Huntley, IL. You will set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines, translate instructions into commands, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, loading materials, inspecting outputs, and collaborating with finance to optimize machine output. A vocational machining background is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a CNC Operator or similar role.
• Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• Computer savvy with a detailed understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
• Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Ensuring the CNC machines operate in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
• Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
• Loading raw materials into the CNC machines.
• Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
• Testing operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running.
• Adhering to all safety and health regulations.
• Collaborating with finance and accounting teams to optimize machine output and streamline processes.
