Job summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense in Salem, OH is seeking a 2nd shift Supervisor for CNC manufacturing and engineering. You will lead a 4–5 person team on the shop floor, ensure safety, and keep the production schedule on track while maintaining high quality and tight tolerances.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years in industrial manufacturing, 1–5 years CNC experience (5+ preferred), ability to address error codes, offsets, and machine issues on multi-axis lathes and horizontal mills, plus

• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years equivalent work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• 1-5 Years (5+ preferred) in a CNC Manufacturing/Engineering Environment.
• Must have U.S. Citizenship and attest no dual citizenship; NOFORN data access requirement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the 2nd shift on the floor as primary authority, ensuring safety and production schedule adherence.
• Manage 3-5 employees in NDT, inspection, and storeroom, and coordinate with dayshift supervisor.
• Address error codes, adjust offsets and mechanical issues, and oversee setup and operation of multi-axis lathes and horizontal mills.
• Drive production goals while ensuring parts meet high quality standards and tight tolerances.
