Job summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense is seeking a 2nd shift Production Supervisor (4pm–2am, M-F) to lead a CNC machining-focused team on the shop floor. You will be responsible for safety, meeting production schedules, and ensuring all parts meet tight tolerances.

The role includes managing 3-5 employees in NDT, inspection, and storeroom functions, with collaboration across shifts. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of related experience, and relevant CNC manufacturing/engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years equivalent work experience in mechanical or related Engineering field.
• 1-5 Years (5+ preferred) in a CNC Manufacturing/Engineering Environment.
• Ability to address error codes, adjust off-sets and mechanical issues, and program/operate multi-axis lathes and horizontal mills.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2nd shift to meet production goals while ensuring parts meet high-quality standards and tight tolerances.
• Manage 3-5 employees in NDT, inspection, and storeroom departments in addition to machining team.
• Coordinate with the dayshift supervisor to maintain production schedules and uphold safety and quality.
