Job summary

Avalign Technologies, Inc. in Greenwood, IN is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Operator on 2nd shift to operate Haas Mills and perform precision machining of metal and non-metal parts.

You will read blueprints, set up tooling, monitor quality, and maintain equipment while following safety and process guidelines to ensure parts meet exact specifications and company standards. The role offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets.
• Ability to set-up and operate CNC machinery, input and maintain data in Traverse Manufacturing System.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related data to determine tooling and setup procedures.
• Prepares tools and verifies fixture setup meets quality standards for milling and boring sizes, depths, and angles.
• Mounts, aligns, and secures tooling and work-piece on machine; assembles cutting tools.
• Loads control media or enters CNC instructions to retrieve preprogrammed instructions.
• Calculates and sets machine controls for depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow.
• Conducts prove-outs and manual programming during setups as approved.
• Starts machine, monitors operation, and adjusts to detect malfunctions.
• Changes tools and setups as required and measures parts for conformance.
• Cleans machine and performs maintenance; adheres to safety regulations.
• Helps train new employees as required.
