Job summary

TAIT is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist I to machine parts using milling equipment with guidance from senior staff. You will read blueprints, set up tools, and ensure parts stay within specifications while collaborating with CNC programmers and machinists.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school graduate, or 1–3 years of milling experience.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up milling machine tools with department support.
• Operate milling machines per CNC programmers' input and higher machinists' direction.
• Read blueprints and job travelers for guidance.
• Load/unload tools promptly and manage tooling for production.
• Monitor 80%+ hours on contracted jobs per shift.
• Identify, locate, and assemble required tooling.
• Create/edit CNC offsets for fixtures and tooling.
• Perform tool wear detection and post processing.
• Deliver finished parts to designated areas.
• Capture labor hours and material in Epicor.
• Follow safety policies and production schedules.
