Job summary

Jobot in Winsted, CT is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for a 11pm–7am shift to produce aerospace-grade components on 3, 4, and 5-axis mills. You will read blueprints, GD&T, set tooling, adjust feeds and speeds, and perform in-process inspections.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a machining certificate is a plus, 3+ years of CNC experience, and proficiency with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Makino or Mitsubishi controls.

Qualifications

• Reduce scrap and rework through precision-focused execution
• Collaborate with engineering and programming teams on process improvements
• Maintain safe and clean work area standards

Qualifications Section – Needed

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Technical machining certificate a plus
• Minimum 3+ years of CNC machining experience in precision manufacturing or aerospace environments
• Strong experience operating and setting up multi-axis mills
• Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centers
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T confidently
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Makino, Mitsubishi, or similar CNC controls
• Strong inspection background using precision measurement equipment
• Proven ability to machine tight‑tolerance components with minimal scrap
• Strong troubleshooting skills for tooling, offsets, setups, and machine issues
• Detail‑oriented with strong quality standards
