Gleason Cutting Tools Corporation is seeking skilled CNC Machinists/Operators for 2nd shift to join a team known for craftsmanship and collaboration. You will perform setup and on-machine operations with lathes, mills, and grinders, interpreting blueprints and tolerances to produce precision gears with care for quality.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machine operation experience.
• Ability to learn specific computer software and systems.
• Knowledge of trade mathematics.
• Multitask and engage in work-related activities to maximize productivity.
• Works cooperatively with others.
• Does what it takes to meet productivity targets and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, program readouts, and directives to determine materials and tools for the job and visualize part tolerances.
• Complete machine set ups.
• Follow detailed instructions for dimensions, sequences, feeds and speeds, and tool usage.
• Align parts in the machine using reference points and maintain safe clearance from chips.
• Identify defective tooling or machine issues and correct or seek assistance to resolve them.
• Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances during machining.
