Job summary

Continental Tire the Americas, LLC (0505) is seeking a CNC Machinist Technician for 2nd shift to operate machine tools and produce precision parts in support of Engineering, Maintenance, and Production. You will read blueprints, set up machines, and ensure parts meet exact specifications.

The role requires an AAS or equivalent craft training, 3+ years in machining, and experience with AutoCAD, HAAS, SolidWorks and Mastercam. This is a full-time on-site position with a referral bonus offered.

Qualifications

• AAS degree in Machine Tool Technology or HS diploma with craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD, HAAS, SolidWorks, and Mastercam and willingness to learn.
• 3+ years of machining experience with ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools (lathes, milling machines, grinders) to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
• Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and positioning using micrometers, Vernier calipers, and math skills.
• Determine proper feeds, speeds, and material removal for cutting and finishing operations.
• Set up machines, select tools and materials, and regulate temperature and vibration for quality output.
• Perform routine maintenance, tool sharpening, and adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Maintain accurate job and attendance records.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other departments.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and plant policies; forklift certification required.
