Express Employment Professionals is seeking Machine Operators and CNC Machinists for local Ithaca and Cortland area positions. Roles involve 2nd shift with a 4-day work week (Wednesday-Saturday or Sunday-Wednesday) and independent work with some teamwork and supervision.

Primary duties include setting up and operating production machines, cutting and shaping parts, handling powders, and ensuring safety and quality standards. Training opportunities are available with senior operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience in machine operator role is helpful.
• Comfortable wearing a respirator while working with some materials.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain production machines.
• Cut, shape, or form small diameter, close tolerance parts.
• Handle various materials including powders and other materials.
• Unload parts, remove materials, work with finished product per company specifications.
• Uphold safety and quality assurance standards.
• Accurately fill in any required documents.
