Job summary

Laitram Machine Shop, L.L.C. is accepting applications for an Entry Level Machine Operator on the 2nd shift. The role involves machining a variety of materials to meet dimensional and workmanship standards under the company’s Quality Management System.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to learn manufacturing processes.
• Basic math skills including fractions and standard operations.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload raw material and finished parts from CNC machine work-holding devices.
• Start and monitor machine cycles to ensure production.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts to identify defects.
• Complete production transactions and required paperwork.
• Follow safety procedures and quality requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization per 5S standards.
• Communicate production concerns to leads or supervisors.
• Support continuous improvement for safety, quality, and productivity.
