Job summary

Cleveland Gear Company is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Lathe Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Arkansas. You will set up and operate CNC lathes and secondary machines, select tooling, inspect parts to blueprints, and report production and labor per company procedures.

Strong English reading/writing and blueprint comprehension are required; hoist/crane operation and safety compliance are essential for daily work. Growth opportunities and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Two years vocational school or one year machine shop experience
• Ability to read and write in English
• Must be able to operate hoist or crane
• High school graduate
• Five years experience on CNC lathes

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes
• Set up and operate secondary machines
• Selection of tooling
• Inspection of product to blueprint
• Accurate reporting of production and labor to procedures
• Update setup records as needed
• Locate, load, and store tape or program
• Perform preventive maintenance as required
• Cleaning of work area
• Movement of parts to next operation
• Write and edit CNC program when necessary
