Job summary

Advanced Machining and Tooling LLC is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator for 2nd shift in Poway, CA. You will set up and operate CNC lathes, interpret blueprints, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.

You will perform tool changes, make minor program edits, and support continuous process improvements while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Requirements include 3+ years of CNC Lathe experience, GD&T knowledge, ability to read blueprints, and ability to work

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC Lathe experience.
• Ability to set up and operate Lathe machines.
• Knowledge and ability to produce 1st article inspection reports.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances.
• Knowledge of tool wear patterns and tool life management.
• Experience with making minor program edits.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and the ability to apply GD&T when needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and Operate CNC Lathe machine for the cutting of metallic materials.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches/shop drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain part quality.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other metrology tools.
• Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Tool life management.
• Make minor program edits if needed.
• Perform basic de-burr or rework of work in-process.
• Make recommendations to optimize and improve assigned processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
