Job summary

Advanced Machining and Tooling LLC is hiring a CNC Machinist (Lathe) in Poway, CA. The role focuses on safe operation of CNC lathes, interpretation of blueprints, and maintaining tight tolerances to meet customer expectations for quality and on-time delivery.

The position is full-time, in-person on the 2nd shift, with benefits including medical/vision coverage and paid time off. Candidates should be able to work independently and perform minor programming edits as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC Lathe experience.
• Ability to set up and operate Lathe machines.
• Knowledge to produce 1st article inspection reports.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances.
• Knowledge of tool wear patterns and tool life management.
• Experience with making minor program edits.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T application.
• Ability to work independently on 2nd shift.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Lathe for machining metallic parts.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Perform tool changes, offsets and adjustments for quality.
• Inspect parts with metrology tools and maintain tolerances.
• Manage tool life and make minor program edits.
• Do deburring or rework as needed; keep work area safe.
