Job summary

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Checker Loader on 2nd shift (typically 1pm to 9pm) at our Elkhart, Indiana foam manufacturing plant. The role loads finished products, operates equipment in the carpet cushion department, and meets production and quality standards.

The candidate will communicate with the department and supervisor, must safely operate a forklift, and use a computer to print labels and manage shipping documentation. Training on 1st shift is required for 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer experience required; SAP preferred.
• Forklift experience required.
• Must train on 1st shift 5am–1pm for at least 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in the carpet cushion department and load finished products.
• Meet production and quality standards for the department.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with the department and supervisor.
• Safely operate a forklift and use a computer.
