The Care Giver/Med Tech role involves providing hands-on care, physical and emotional support, and maintaining a safe, home-like environment for residents.

Responsibilities

Care Giver:

• Manage a designated group of residents, know their whereabouts, and check on them regularly.
• Observe, report, and document changes in residents' conditions.
• Respond promptly to security system and call bells.
• Notify supervisors of increased care needs.
• Assist with continence management and sanitation.
• Serve and collect food trays, report meal refusals.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Support residents' independence, dignity, and safety.
• Assist with activities of daily living and engage residents in activities.
• Greet and assist visitors, family, vendors, and team members.
• Perform resident laundry as needed.

Medication Tech Duties:

• Review service plans for resident information.
• Assist with medication administration, observing the Six Rights of Medication Pass.
• Document medication administration and refusals.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Report concerns to nurses or healthcare coordinators.
• Restock medication supplies.
• Check medications and count narcotics with a nurse or manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of medication areas.
• Participate in developing and updating service plans.
• Take vital signs and other health measurements.
• Report occupational exposures immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid preferred.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 or older.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Experience with seniors preferred.
