Job description

Join to apply for the Michigan Cat Service Technician role at MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc.

2nd shift

A Michigan CAT Service Technician is the heart of our business. You will work on and, at times, lead service and maintenance tasks of our customers’ equipment while continuing to learn and prioritize safety at the workplace.

Responsibilities

1. Diagnose problems with equipment/engines using a variety of methods and tools
2. Perform Preventive Maintenance work on customer products
3. Service/repair work on items diagnosed ranging from mechanical to electrical work
4. Identify and source any parts required for repair or service
5. Complete a detailed service report
6. Cleaning and painting of equipment as necessary

Qualifications

To be considered, you should have:

1. Minimum 2-5 years of Heavy Construction or On-Highway Diesel Engine diagnosis and repair experience
2. Highly motivated and able to learn new tasks, processes, and policies

Preferred Qualifications

1. Prior experience using CAT ET or similar electronic diagnostics tools
2. Experience writing detailed service reports on customer equipment
3. High School Diploma or Vocational College degree in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Repair, or Welding Technology

Compensation: $23.00 to $40.00 per hour

Shift: 2nd Shift
