Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group operates the Indianapolis Manufacturing Plant on-site, seeking a Blending Operator for the 2nd shift. The role blends ingredients per recipes, records batch data, and ensures safety, quality, and efficiency KPIs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• 1 year of mechanical experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
• Good communication skills with operators, mechanics, and resources.
• Ability to analyze data and make decisions/recommendations based on analysis.
• Willingness to operate and support a positive culture and follow established values.
• Ability to work in a team environment and operate computers to access information.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety and follows all safety guidelines at all times; complies with food manufacturing and safety regulations.
• Record production and test data for each batch, including ingredients, temperature, results, and cycle time.
• Follow recipes to produce food products with specified flavor, texture, and appearance.
• Set up, operate, and tend equipment that cooks, mixes, blends, or processes ingredients per formulas/recipes.
• Mix or blend ingredients according to recipes using blenders or controlled vats.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment; provide assistance for adjustments and changeovers as needed.
