Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group is hiring a Blending Operator for Dry Blending at our Indianapolis, IN plant. The role requires setting up and operating blending equipment, following recipes, and ensuring safety, quality, and cost KPIs are met.

This on-site position supports production teams across shifts and reports to the operations lead. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of mechanical experience in manufacturing, and strong problem-solving and

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1 year of mechanical experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
• Good communication skills with operators, other mechanics and resources.
• Ability to analyze data and make decisions/recommendations based on analysis.
• Ability to integrate into all parts of the operation to support the facility in achieving our goals & objectives.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety amongst team and conducts themselves in accordance with all safety guidelines.
• Record production and test data for each food product batch, such as ingredients used, temperature, test results, and time cycle.
• Set up, operate, and tend equipment that cooks, mixes, blends, or processes ingredients according to formulas or recipes.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment; provide assistance to operations for adjustments and changeovers as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventive maintenance work in alignment with manufacturing schedules and requirements.
• Develop problem-solving skills to perform equipment improvements and enhancements to optimize production.
