Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group is hiring a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician for our Indianapolis plant. The role focuses on proactive maintenance, equipment reliability, and process improvement on dry sweeteners lines. On-site position with standard Monday–Friday schedule on 2nd shift, 2pm–10:30pm.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in industrial maintenance, a 2-year technical degree, and familiarity with CMMS and Allen-Bradley PLC systems. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a two-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance.
• 2–3 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong focus on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Proactively perform all condition based and preventive maintenance to OEM standards.
• Analyze line performance data and provide line improvement support based on findings.
• Understand operation theory for all equipment in area of responsibility.
• Document all work orders in the CMMS per best practices.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Support plant initiatives and improvement teams.
• Provide training to Operators for basic maintenance tasks.
• Assist in spare parts stocking level recommendations.
• Maintain a culture of reliability and teamwork.
