Job summary

RRD in Wisconsin is hiring for a 2nd shift Bindery Operator. You will set up, adjust and operate bindery equipment to turn printed sheets into final books, catalogs, and manuals. The role requires attention to safety and quality, and you will oversee a crew on a multi-machine finishing line.

Starting pay ranges from $17.50 to $19.00 per hour, plus a $2 per hour shift premium. Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) with match, paid time off and additional program subsidies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret written work orders or specs for bindery requirements.
• Ability to calculate distances, clearances, and fits for combining machines.
• Skill in setting up and adjusting machines for finishing operations and to refine adjustments for paper stock quality.
• Knowledge of fully automatic binding machines, collators, and folding units.
• Thorough knowledge of set up, operating requirements, and limitations of bindery equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate bindery machines to produce final books, catalogs, or manuals.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and monitor quality, output and productivity.
• Direct crew through all aspects of production on a multi-machine finishing line.
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations and ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Operate adhesive binding machines (perfect binders) when required.
