Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Production Manager for Bevel Gears on the 2nd shift at East Peoria, IL (Building KK). You will lead 25+ operators, drive safety and productivity, and ensure on-time production using LEAN methods.

Required is a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong problem solving and leadership skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Onsite five days weekly; some overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Leadership experience and ability to coach hourly direct reports.
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement exposure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve shop floor safety and eliminate unsafe processes.
• Ensure fixtures, tooling and processes meet production schedules.
• Determine priorities, sequence jobs and manage resources.
• Schedule staff to meet flow and customer requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement and root cause corrective action projects.
