Job summary

Cirba Solutions is seeking a Battery Sorter for the 2nd shift at our Mesa, AZ warehouse. You will identify batteries by chemistry, tape terminals, and pack them securely while maintaining strict safety and environmental standards.

The role involves labeling, weighing, and documenting material, plus occasional forklift operation and general site housekeeping. The position requires basic math, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift 10–40 lbs frequently and handle materials safely.
• Good math, communication, and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify and sort batteries by chemistry/type.
• Tape terminals of batteries and pack using bags/boxes.
• Maintain safety by following warehouse procedures.
• Sort debris and non-conforming material; label drums per regulations.
• Weigh and document material; perform general cleaning.
• Operate forklift at some locations as needed.
• Work in shifts, standing for most of the time.

Role Overview

As a Battery Sorter, you will properly identify, and sort batteries based on the chemistry/type.

You will tape the terminals of the batteries and pack batteries using bags and boxes.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following warehouse safety procedures and processes
• Identify and sort batteries by chemistry
• Taping terminals/ends of batteries
• Sort out debris and non-conforming material
• Store batteries and non-conforming material in drums
• Label drums according to regulations and guidelines
• Weigh and document material
• General cleaning
• Comply with all environmental, health and safety regulations
• Sit or stand for most of the shift
• Some locations may require operating a forklift to transfer material
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• Frequently lift 10-40 pounds individually, and over 40 pounds with a team member
