Job summary

Cirba Solutions US in Mesa, AZ is hiring a Battery Sorter to identify and sort batteries by chemistry, tape terminals, and pack materials for safe handling. You will follow strict health, safety, and environmental procedures on a busy warehouse floor.

The role requires lifting up to 40 pounds, standing for long periods, and sometimes operating a forklift. You’ll weigh, document, label drums, and keep work areas organized while complying with all regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
• Basic math skills for measuring and documenting.
• Ability to work in a safety-focused warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and sort batteries by chemistry type.
• Tape terminals/ends of batteries.
• Pack batteries using bags and boxes.
• Weigh and document material; label drums per regulations.
• Store batteries and non-conforming material in drums.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with EH&S procedures.
• Sit or stand for most of the shift; forklift operation may be required at some sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Overview

As a Battery Sorter, you will properly identify, and sort batteries based on the chemistry/type.

You will tape the terminals of the batteries and pack batteries using bags and boxes.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following warehouse safety procedures and processes
• Identify and sort batteries by chemistry
• Taping terminals/ends of batteries
• Sort out debris and non-conforming material
• Store batteries and non-conforming material in drums
• Label drums according to regulations and guidelines
• Weigh and document material
• General cleaning
• Comply with all environmental, health and safety regulations
• Sit or stand for most of the shift
• Some locations may require operating a forklift to transfer material
• All other duties as assigned
