Job summary

Cirba Solutions seeks a Battery Sorter for our Wixom, MI site. You will identify and sort batteries by chemistry, tape terminals, and pack batteries using bags and boxes while following safety rules.

The role requires lifting up to 40 lbs with teamwork, basic math, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Local site work with potential forklift duties and shift flexibility are involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Frequent lifting of 10-40 pounds; up to 40 pounds with a team.
• Basic math skills required.
• Teamwork and clear communication required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Travel: none.

Responsibilities

• Identify and sort batteries by chemistry.
• Tape terminals/ends of batteries.
• Sort debris and non-conforming material.
• Store batteries and non-conforming material in drums.
• Label drums according to regulations and guidelines.
• Weigh and document material.
• General cleaning.
• Comply with environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Sit or stand for most of the shift.
• Some locations may require operating a forklift to transfer material.
• All other duties as assigned

Role Overview

As a Battery Sorter, you will properly identify, and sort batteries based on the chemistry/type.

You will tape the terminals of the batteries and pack batteries using bags and boxes.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following warehouse safety procedures and processes
• Identify and sort batteries by chemistry
• Taping terminals/ends of batteries
• Sort out debris and non-conforming material
• Store batteries and non-conforming material in drums

• Weigh and document material
• General cleaning
• Comply with all environmental, health and safety regulations
