Job summary

Meridian Adhesives Group is seeking a Batch Maker/Compounder on the 2nd shift at American Sealants in Fort Wayne, IN. You will mix raw chemical materials, stage ingredients, and monitor mixing equipment to produce quality batches.

The role requires physical fitness to lift up to 60 pounds, basic math, reading English, and following work instructions. We offer competitive pay starting at $21/hour plus a productivity incentive plan and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Operate high-speed dispersers and handling equipment.
• Able to read and comprehend English.
• Ability to lift 50-60 pounds.
• Read digital scales.
• Chemical manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stages and manually charges necessary raw materials into mixing container.
• Follows batch work instructions to manufacture quality products.
• Monitors and controls mixing equipment and other instruments to ensure batch is produced per work instructions.
• Adjust a batch under QC guidance until approved.
• Follows manufacturing schedule and communicates any concerns to Supervisor.
• Cleanup work area to company standards.
• Ensure work area is safe, clean, and free of hazards; report spills or hazards.
• Comply with PPE standards.
