2nd Shift Baler/Material Handler (Manufacturing)

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Process paper waste from production lines and scrap returns from customers.
• Use a forklift to pick up tear-off boxes from production lines.
• Promote a clean area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Record the weight of in-house scrap.
• Record the weight of bales.
• Load the bale trailer with the maximum number of bales without exceeding the maximum weight.
• Unload palletized and loose scrap returned from customers.
• Complete a minimum of 8 bales per 8-hour shift (unassisted).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Union Facility

Must be able to demonstrate:

1. Knowledge of and compliance with safety, quality, maintenance, and housekeeping requirements.
2. Knowledge of and compliance with quality requirements, including the identification of "waste".
3. Ability to safely operate equipment.
4. Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
5. Knowledge of and compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
6. Awareness of the importance of activities contributing to the Quality Policy, Objectives, and System.
