Qualifications

Job description

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 pm - 2:30 am.

• Transport materials from warehouse to winding shop and return them.
• Serve as backup lead in the absence of the lead.
• Stage winding supplies appropriately.
• Assist winders with machine setup.
• Move materials within the shop for machine setup.
• Sort and handle complex materials.
• Use radio communication within the winding shop.
• Follow work orders and update inventory for the Winding Supervisor.
• Weigh wire before returning to inventory.
• Strip wire prior to pressing.
• Transport coils to the stacking department.
• Strip aluminum wire before sending to press/oven.
• Assist with paper cutting, foil slitting, and buss bar tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• OSHA10 certification preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in paint manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with material handling equipment (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools preferred.
• Proven safety record required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Ability to meet department and production goals.
• Strong work ethic, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn other department functions and work flexibly.
• Complete mandatory safety and compliance training.
• Physical requirements include the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, climb ladders, and work in various temperatures.
• Must pass a respiratory fit test.
